About My Role

As the UI/UX designer for this project, I was responsible for product research, design ideation, prototyping, user testing, and design iterations.

Overview

Wise Peakon reimagines employee benefits management through the power of AI.

It comprises two integrated systems catering to the distinct needs of HR professionals and employees. The HR system leveraging AI to optimize benefits offerings and transform HR operations. Simultaneously, the employee system empowers individuals to unlock the full potential of their benefits package, thereby enhancing the overall sense of validation and satisfaction.

Our Strategy — Business Goals Vs User Goals

Research Insights

"We are constantly in estimation mode, and it may take several months to research and balance all benefits."

"It is extremely hard to show the total benefits package for each employee."

We conducted interviews with SCAD's Chief of Human Resources Officer, Lesley Hanak, and 4 HR managers to understand their pain points and needs in benefits administration.

Solution Highlights

Smart Analytics

Comprehensive analysis of benefits costs, utilizing intuitive data visualization, predictive insights based on historical data, and identification of optimization opportunities.

Empowers HR teams to make informed decisions, enhance budget planning, and improve benefits offerings.

Peakon AI Insight

Identifies optimization opportunities and presents actionable recommendations to help HR professionals make informed decisions and enhance their employee benefits programs.

Benefits Management

Detailed plan information and streamlined open enrollment settings offer a comprehensive view of specific plan details.

Leveraging CPT health codes to facilitate the analysis of average medical claims, HR teams can gain a comprehensive understanding of the cost and utilization patterns within their employee benefits programs.

Employee’s Total Package

Employees can gain convenient access to their complete personalized benefits information. This interface is designed to foster a sense of validation and value. Whether during onboarding or when acquiring new benefits, this feature ensures a satisfying and engaging experience for employees.

Challenge in Design style between B2B and B2C

During the design process, we communicated with the HR team and learned that they also wanted to ensure that employees felt recognized by the company through a comprehensive benefits list. To meet this need, we experimented with various interactive interfaces.

However, we found design elements that convey emotional value (such as color, page layout, etc) conflicted with the simple and efficient design style typical of B2B environments.

Solution

After user testing we found out that UX Writing gives better effects into the B2B structural interfaces. We decided to maintain a card interface structure and used phrases like "NEW" and "You've got a new benefit package."

We also integrated a motion design, giving users the sensation of unwrapping a gift from the company, fostering feelings of validation and appreciation.
